Antwerp in August 2008

One of the world’s largest ports. Accordingly, the city is business-oriented, and there are few interesting sights here, except for one medieval castle and the city cathedral. The rest is just for show.

However, Antwerp has a very interesting train station: it is as red as the Golden Gate.

And inside, cute birds are flying.

The city has a large number of Africans and Jews. As expected, there are many homeless people near the train station. Apparently, they had some disagreement among themselves at night, and until morning, loud English swearing could be heard under the windows amidst the howling of sirens, whether from police or an ambulance.
